Who am I?
I am, at heart, a story enthusiast. I'm kind of obsessed with them, and there's never a time when I don't have at least one story going in my head. I love any sort of adventure (particularly the kind involving dragons), and I believe the best kinds of adventures are the ones that glorify God and bring light into the world. Those are the kind of stories that I do my best to write.
The first set of those stories for me was the Prophecy War Trilogy, a fantasy adventure targeted towards middle schoolers. It's full of demons, magic, adventure, and a little romance (of course). After that came Broken Aether, a steampunk adventure and sweet young adult romance. Ashes begins the Beyond Beauty fairy tale retelling series with a new take on the story of Cinderella, and Cursed, a Beauty and the Beast retelling with copious amounts of chaos, continues in the same fantasy world. When I'm not writing, I'm usually wandering through a forest in search of adventure, playing the flute, piano, or mountain dulcimer, or working on some artistic project (because I have absolutely no creative impulse control). After six years, I've finally finished up my teaching degrees! Now, I get to spend my days teaching fourth graders (which provides infinite inspiration for my comic relief characters and anyone else who makes questionable decisions).
